Founded in 1961 by Thomas Brunner I, our company initially specialized in producing and distributing hand washing pastes for the processing industry. While hand washing pastes were already available, many were harsh on the skin. Recognizing the need for a more skin-friendly alternative, we pioneered the use of new raw materials to develop hand washing pastes with exceptional skin compatibility. This marked the beginning of both our company and its guiding philosophy.

In 1977, Thomas Brunner II joined the company, and it was renamed Thomas Brunner Hygiene GmbH—a name that remains strong to this day.

In 1995, Thomas Brunner III, our current Managing Director, partnered with a pharmacist to establish the syNeo® Cosmetics division. This initiative arose from a desire to improve antiperspirants, as many existing products were either ineffective or caused skin irritation.

After two years of dedicated development, we successfully created an antiperspirant that combined high efficacy with outstanding skin-friendliness, laying the foundation for our syNeo® antiperspirant range.

We then expanded our offerings to include a variety of solutions for different perspiration needs, resulting in syNeo® products designed for nearly every part of the body.

Today, syNeo® Cosmetics continues to grow, extending its reach beyond Germany through independent sales partners in Afghanistan, Austria, Belgium, China, Greece, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, the UAE, Ukraine, the USA, and Vietnam.
